Cryptography, Security Attacks and Mechanisms
Fundamentally, this course aims to provide the foundational knowledge of securing communication networks and data through cryptography. Some of the areas include symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, SSL/TLS and IPSec. Examples to be taught by students will include the modes of authentications, access control, and intrusion detection modes. This course helps the students before graduating to have a clue on how to design secure systems and even other anticipated cybersecurity issues.
